Avalanche of economic data highlights in the last week of June


Bed Bath & Beyond, Micron and Walgreens Boots Alliance to report earnings

The month of June should end in style. The last week of the summer solstice month will be jam-packed with economic data, including first quarter gross domestic product (GDP) revisions, a host of personal consumption expenditure (PCE) inflation updates and the Chicago Purchasing Managers Index (PMI). As for earnings, Bed Bath and Beyond (BBBY), Constellation Marks (STZ)General Mills (GIS), McCormick (MKC), Micron (MU)Paychex (PAYX) and Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA)prepare to report.

Below is a list of key market events scheduled for the coming week. All economic dates listed below are tentative and subject to change.

things start Monday, June 27 along with Durable Goods Orders, Core Capital Goods Orders and the Pending Home Sales Index.

On Tuesday, June 28the S&P Case-Shiller US year-on-year house price index for April is due, as well as the consumer confidence index for June.

First quarter GDP, final domestic demand and gross domestic income revisions expected to be released Wednesday, June 29.

Thursday June 30 features most of the week’s action. As always, initial and continuing unemployment claims are available, while monthly and annual PCE inflation updates are expected. In addition, reports on nominal personal income and nominal consumption expenditure, as well as real disposable income and real consumption expenditure will be published. Finally, the Chicago PMI will end the busy day.

To end the week, friday july 1st will feature the S&P Global US Manufacturing PMI, ISM Manufacturing Index and Construction Spending.
